Hot Springs, Arkansas - Hwy 70 East -  Bypass

The Scenic Gateway Steering committee has reorganized and left out the property owners as part of the new committee.  The new committee has a small business member, a large business member and a non-profit business member as part of the new committee, nobody to represent the property owners.   The property owners needs to worry about the City of Hot Springs annexing the Hwy 70 East because we lost our voice in this committee.  AS  PROPERTY OWNERS, LETS BE READY FOR THE FIGHT AND DEFEND OUR LAND AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT ENCROACHMENT  !!!

The Scenic Gateway committee voted to have the highway dept. look into converting the two-way frontage roads into the boulevard-effect.   Today, the Arkansas Highway Commission said that they will not downgrade the Scenic Gateway 3.5 miles to the Grand Avenue Boulevard look.   The Highway Commission will spend $12 million more dollars in November 2003, to continue this look by putting another bridge over Hwy 70 East at Westinghouse Dr.   I think you should have a vote.  Click on the picture you think should be built.    Thank you.

Grand Avenue Freeway-effect.

Grand Avenue Boulevard-effect.

Watch Arkansas State Highway Commission build a interchange that will connect a 2 lane road (Hwy 70E) from Little Rock to the bypass around Hot Springs.  Over 26 millions of your dollars will be spent.  Watch a 12 year propane business removed, 30,000 gallon propane tanks removed over the next 6 months.   Watch the bulldozers clear the pathway for the interchange and at least 5 bridges built and paved over the next two years.

One of the main bridges will be 62 feet tall,  the new Hot Springs Civic Center might be able to fit under it.    Hot Springs City and the Scenic Gateway Committee are working closely with the Arkansas Highway Commission to make the bridge artistic looking with color schemes and landscaping.   This is one of the ways the Scenic Gateway Committee is helping out the property owners of the east side of Hot Springs.     Please help support us in upgrading our area, we value your ideas so email me at evan@hsnp.com  If you need any information about the properties for sale, email me properties@scenicgateway.com
